Wadsworth WWTP Improvements

The Wadsworth Waste Water Treatment Plant renovations began in 2005 and consisted of influent pumping renovations, construction of new grit and primary settling tanks including new pumping facilities, the construction of new secondary flow splitters and aeration tanks and renovation of the existing aeration tanks and blower improvements. Work was also done to construct two final settling tanks, a return sludge pumping station, and a new tertiary building, which included a UV disinfection system and cascade aeration. Kenmore crews also installed new processing systems such as the installation of the belt filter press, a gravity belt thickener, digester renovations and the construction of a new sludge storage building.
