Located in the heart of The University of Akron, this expansion provided additional academic space for the nationally renowned Institute and Department of Polymer Engineering. Included in this facility are classrooms, office space and a state-of-the-art lecture hall. The challenges associated with the construction of this project included a tight construction site and the relocation of major underground utilities. Innovative use of Value Engineering and Contractor Partnering enabled this project to be delivered on time and under budget.
