Southerly WWTP Digester Process Expansion

City of Columbus

$27,800,000

This project is located at the City of Columbus Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project called for improvements to Methane Phase Digesters, Acid Phase Digesters, Sludge Control Building (SCB), Digester Control Buildings, Digester Electrical Building, Tunnel C and the Thickening Facility East. The primary goal of the project is to provide sufficient expanded solids handling facilities and all necessary associated piping and pumping capacity to successfully accommodate the additional solids produced by the CEPT process and the additional solids loadings to the SWWTP resulting from the anticipated growth of the population of the City of Columbus.
