Constructed under the ODOT local administration program, the Cascade Locks Bikeway Project extended the Ohio and Erie Towpath Trail over 4,000 feet. The key in the construction of this project was the installation of a 270 foot steel truss bridge over State Route 59. The project also included a 470 foot reinforced concrete retaining wall and a 7,000 square foot Unilock retaining wall.
